The radiator is the most crucial component of the cooling system for the engine. Its job is to dissipate the heat created by the engine to the surrounding using the cooling fluid that circulates through the cooling system. The radiator’s core is made of aluminum (less frequently copper), while the tanks are brass, steel, aluminum, or plastic. Radiators come in two basic styles: with or without frame. The materials used to make the radiator are determined by its intended usage, working circumstances, and surroundings.
A frame, an extra heat exchanger (for example, an oil cooler), or an integrated expansion tank can be added to the TA2001 Radiator depending on the application.
Engine coolant is used to cool retarder coolers (continuous brake). When the operating hydraulic oil becomes heated and needs to cool, they're used in hydraulic retarder systems.
High-pressure technologies are used to create these coolers:
- Aluminum with “plate & bar” technology
- Stainless steel with “brazed plate” technology
