861 251 Compressor Cylinderliner cylinder liners are the sleeves that the piston of a compressor contact. The two main factors that influence how long a cylinder lasts between re-holes are abrasion and corrosion. The surrounding, as well as the functioning of the air and oil filters, influence friction. The liners can be removed and changed if they get damaged or worn out. The cylinder liner must be though and able to hold oil to keep the surface between the piston rings and the walls lubricated.
