Without suspension, driving would be dangerous and exceedingly uncomfortable. The car and the road must be connected at all times in order to transfer the froces of braking, accelerating, and wheel forces in curves. Chassis suspension is mostly composed of air springs and shock absorbers. In order to account for uneven roads and potholes, the axle can travel up and down thanks to the spring, which also supports the weight of the automobile.
Due to the ability of springs to swing, shock absorbers are essential components. They lessen this swinging and support preserving the tyres' contact with the pavement. Because the wheels have poor road contact due to worn or damaged shock absorbers, the driving characteristics of the vehicle may worsen. The braking distance may also lengthen.
