The wheel and the brake disc both rotate. A piston in the brake caliper presses the brake pads up against the braking disc when the brake pedal is depressed. The disc and thus the vehicle are slowed down by the friction created.
During the braking action, a significant amount of heat is produced. When braking for an extended period of time or in an agressive manner, the brake discs' temperature can rise so significantly that they begin to fade and lose effectiveness.
Because of this, premium Febi brake discs are made to dissipate heat efficiently and rapidly where it is needed. The right material (with a high carbon component) and the appropriate weight, mass, and density are also essential in the production process.
