The flexible disc absorbs the drive train's vibrations and load changes. The flexible disc is required to transmit all of the motor's torque before the drive shaft and differential axles carry it to the wheels. The flexible disc's design absorbs stress and load forces, reduces drive train disruptions, and minimizes dangerous angular misalignment. By doing this, the drive train's noise and vibration are reduced.
