By releasing pressure, expansion valves allow the liquid refrigerant in the evaporator to expand or change state from liquid to vapor. As evaporation heat is absorbed, cold air is available to cool the vehicle's interior.
The DF1060 Expansion Valve is situated between the condenser and the evaporator’s inlet in the liquid line. In relation to the compressor, it acts on the other side of the system. There are two types of expansion valves for air conditioning systems: thermostatic expansion valves and orifice tube throttle vales.
